Pac-Man was the first video game I ever played in the arcade back in the day. I remember not making it very long because I was always trying to gobble up the power pellets and didn’t do a good job evading the ghosts.

An orrery is one of those mechanical representations of the Solar System that rotates scale objects so you can see how they orbit each other. This LEGO orrery has none of that scale BS to deal with, and skips all planets but Earth, the flat center of the galaxy.

Give a geek some LEGO and great things happen. Kevin J. Walter is one such geek who loves to build awesome things with the versatile building blocks. This awesome thing is a Klingon Bird of Prey and it took 25,000 blocks to build.

In a lot of video games, as you get hammered on by the bad guys, your heart counter goes down. Lose all your hearts, and you die. In some of those games you can refill your heart counter by drinking some sort of special health elixir.

Growing up, I always thought taking a chemistry class would be awesome. I figured that it would be all fun and games making stuff that oozed and blew up. Once I grew up and went to college, I finally took a chemistry class.

Some of the recent Star Wars movies haven’t been my favorites, and at times they’ve been downright boring to me. I tell you what wouldn’t be boring – a movie that had Vader and some stormtroopers fighting against xenomorphs.

If Darth Vader was into crunchy snacks with hulls that get stuck between his teeth, you better believe that he would use this awesome popcorn maker. When you aren’t using it, the bowl clamps over the top to complete a cool and shiny Death Star sculpture sitting on your counter.

Over the years around here, we have perused ThinkGeek on the daily looking for cool stuff that geeks would want. We’ve also purchased more than a few of those geeky items for ourselves. I still have that air guitar shirt that plays music around here somewhere.

When Arnold said “I’ll be Back” in The Terminator, he solidified his throne as the summer blockbuster lead for the next several decades. The T-800 has appeared in several sequels, and this November he’s back again in Terminator: Dark Fate.

Scientists from NC State University have created a new type of armor that could replace the rolled steel sort of military applications. The team created the new armor using a composite metal foam (CMF) that is less than half the weight of normal armor but can stop .50 cal ball and armor piercing ammo.

Sony has launched a new limited edition game console for its annual Days of Play. This year the console is rather boring to look at after last year’s was a slick blue color. Sony calls this year’s limited edition “steel black,” and it looks like a basic black and gray two-tone.

One of the best characters in Game of Thrones was Hodor. He was a simple-minded brute that carried Bran around after the was tossed off the tower by Jamie. We’ve seen Hodor door stoppers in the past, and now here’s something else for your Hodor fans.

Of all the toys that you could give your kid to either terrify them or make them laugh hysterically, the jack-in-the-box is it. But this version doesn’t have the creepy clown inside, it has Deadpool inside.

Arya Stark went from a rather petulant child to a full-on badass over the years on Game of Thrones. Fans of the show who watched the behind the scenes documentary that aired after the finale might have forgotten just how young she was when the show first started.

Like most children during the ’80s, I spent much of my time watching cartoons and going to the movies. One of the bigger franchises back in the day was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I always thought they were weird, and the biggest thing I had in common with the Turtles is their love for pizza.
